In addition, the "Libraries Help Keep Teens Safe Online", shows how internet and social media safety can be achieved without completely eliminating access for teen. In an age of ever increasing technology use by children, teen, and adults across a wide range of outlets, business, schools, and personal use; the removal of access to technology can be detrimental to teens; however, there also needs to be measures in place to insure online safety for teens. 1. Scial Media in a school library would be great in an ideal world. This is assuming that the students use it the way it is intended to be used. However, that's not reality. They are not going to go to an author's web site, or look at a teacher's discussion (unless ordered to).
They use it as a social media, to be social. They make plans, talk about activities, and the BIG thing in school libraries is GAMES.
Ideally, social media is a good idea, but in reality, it is not necessary.

They use social media as social media. They discuss plans and activities, life, and everything else that is not school related. The BIG thing in school libraries is GAMES. Students play computer games instead of work, taking up computer space reserved for academic use.
